Getting a crab burger in a Mercedes GLC

Getting a crab burger in a Mercedes GLC

Yesterday we didn’t fancy cooking, and thought; lets go out for a nice juicy burger. As my wife was out in the Volkswagen Golf R, since she doesn’t like driving the GLC43 AMG at all, I had to take the Mercedes GLC. Considering it was a while since I first published a video to demonstrate what happens in a Mercedes GLC when going around a corner, I thought it was a good idea to shoot another short video.

So getting a crab burger in a Mercedes GLC was born – it was shot on my iPhone hand held in the car in the passenger seat. No manipulation have taken place other than adding the title.

Will we get crab with our burger? Watch and see it is only 1:29.

PS. I think you can guess what will happen 😉

Burger in a Mercedes GLC

Get a burger and driving my Mercedes-AMG GLC 43. The 'crabbing' is just horrendeous on this vehicle, and Mercedes continues to deny there is an issue. Yet they are asking new owners to sign a waiver agreeing this is absolutely normal.

My crabbing/skipping is nowhere near as extreme as yours. It is disgraceful that a so called quality brand is trying to say that this crabbing is anything like normal for any car never mind an expensive brand.

We will wait to see the response on the 27th Feb.

By the way can I just thank you sincerely for all the work you have done for this widespread problem. Were it not for you and others they would have been able to divide and conquer. Well done.

We are just doing our bit in return. I was pleased and sad to learn that it wasn’t just me that is having these problems, but jointly we seem to be banging our heads against the wall and not getting anywhere. So the best we can do is alert others to it, and provide some kind of register where all those that are affected can come together. Time will tell how this will be played out.

Did the crabs eyes pop out due to him being deep fried.. or did you tell him to buy some winter tyres to fix it and that was his reaction? 😉

ROFLMAO I wish. I think it was because of the noise coming from my car. And no it wasn’t the tones of that AMG engine but the knocking of the steering and scraping of the tyres instead.

Thanks for all the effort you are putting in. It seems unbelievable that Mercedes are asking new customers to sign a waiver, suggests to me that they are not hopeful of resolving this problem, I hope I am wrong.

It is an extraordinary step isn’t it just. It is very hard to know what to do. The vehicle is awesome in every other way, but the ‘crabbing’ issue is a very serious concern.

    This is extreme, crabbing…
Mine one only does this if I accelerate it harder during three point turn… which I am doing it every morning in my driveway..
I hope Mercedes will resolve this ASAP… It is not a cheap car to be missed about.

The unfortunate reality seems to be that they can’t. At the very best they supply tyres which masks the sensation, but that is to us not resolving the issue, it is simply hiding it.

This is so extreme, Has the geo setting resolved the crabbing?
I assume since the temperature is now picking up, we are having less of the issue and Mercedes is trying to delay this…

We are not aware of any geo adjustment that has resolved this. In fact there is a lot of confusion regarding the settings as the hunter machines keep on getting updates with new settings. So one day they look out, you do it again three days later and if by magic the same vehicle without adjustments is in spec.
